LCDS is unique, as the owner has clinical, commercial, and public health laboratory testing and managerial experience, a rare combination in the laboratory sector. Public Health (in particular the laboratories) has jurisdiction over the clinics and hospital laboratories within their county/state when it comes to infectious and communicable disease testing and reporting. In most instances, consultants have experience in either setting, but it is an anomaly for a consultant/director to have experience in various laboratory settings. In addition, the company’s owner has knowledge/experience in infectious disease reporting, development and maintenance of quality systems, etc., setting LCDS apart from the services provided by other competitors.
